The objective of the study is to test the statistical relationship between risk attitude and energy intake and expenditure related variables to infer the causal relationship between risk attitude and obesity. The results show that there were no significant differences in average calorie intake according to risk attitudes, however those who have higher degree of risk preference had higher calorie intake based on the pooled data and female data. And there were statistically significant differences in average fat intake in all data sets. And risk attitudes had significant impact on the exercise. Our result also shows that risk preference variables had positive relationship with the calorie intake and especially with fat intake and negative relationship with the exercise. Therefore we could infer the causal relationship between risk attitudes and obesity.
