This study is aimed at testing the presence of spatial spillovers between regions as well as identifying whether and where the agglomerations are as the spatial patterns of the chili pepper production activities in the context of the Korean regional system. For these, we utilize the full information on individual farms' locations and operation conditions on the Farm Business Registration Database covering almost whole farms operating their businesses and being superior to another completed survey, the Agricultural Census in terms of accuracy and size. There turned out to be three survey, the Agricultural Census in terms of accuracy and size, tended cluster which stretches over three provinces: sourthern Gangwon-do, Chungcheongbuk-do and northern Gyeongsangbuk-do. And we could empirically confirm the presence and the size of spatial spillovers as one of underlying factors of such spatial patterns by using the spatial regression models.
