The purpose of this study is analyzing the general equilibrium impacts of agricultural production losses that occurred in 2010 due to the abnormal weather conditions. An input-output model and a computable general equilibrium model containing a detailed specification of agricultural sector are constructed and used for the analysis. It is shown that the losses generated are a decline in GDP by 0.12% and a decline in household income by 0.19%. The study also shows that the burdens to low income classes are much higher than those of high income classes, and hence, the impacts are quite regressive.
