This paper analyzes the impacts of exogenous shocks in the Korean fluid milk market based on not national level but regional level. The demands for and supplies of dairy products including fluid milk in each region are different because relative advantages of growing dairy cows are different historically and the difference in urbanization of each region makes the demands for dairy products grow differently. Through developing a regional trade model of the Korean fluid milk, this paper do some simulations to see the impacts of exogenous shocks such as substitution of domestic dairy products by imported dairy products and potential regional migration incurred by capital move to a new place.
