The models for predicting financial distress of agricultural cooperatives are developed and the factors of financial distress are derived in this paper. Probit model, logit model, and artificial neural network model are estimated using data in Gyeongbuk province. The results show that the factors of financial distress of agricultural cooperatives are the scale(number of members), the business showings, and the stability. The results also indicate that the artificial neural network model is superior to probit model or to logit model.
